Friends of the Doctors Surgery (F.O.D.S)
Friends of the Doctors Surgery are a group of volunteers who are registered at the Practice who specifically fundraise money and our Carole Brown Health Centre and The Hollies Surgery Patient Participation Groups raise funds for equipment for our surgeries.
The practice is hugely grateful for the support the group give.
we have two groups within Vida Healthcare; one based at Gayton Road Health Cenre and one based at Hunstanton Medical Practice.
Further information on each group can be found below;
Gayton Road Health Centre Friends of the Doctors Surgery Say
For those of you who do not know who we are; we are a small and friendly group who raise funds for the benefit of the patients of Gayton Road Health Centre. We have a stall, for three days every month, in the waiting room of the surgery. You can find the dates on the notice board in the waiting room or ask at the stall for a list.
Last year we raised £4,300.00 and bought couches and scales. This year we are purchasing equipment for the new Nurses Suite. We also pay for the rental of the water cooler in the waiting room.
This year is the 25th anniversary of its inception and hopes to continue for many years to come. Unfortunately, our numbers are dwindling and desperately need more helpers. If you feel you can spare a few hours, (no matter how few) each month, please contact Jan on 01553 671621. We would also welcome any good quality bric a brae or books for sale on the stall.
Hunstanton Medical Practice Friends of the Doctors Surgery Say
The “Friends of the Surgery” is made up of a group of independent people who look after the finances which have been donated to the surgery by patients who either wish to donate or leave something when they pass away. This money is then used to purchase equipment for the surgery in order to benefit the patients with their care and diagnosis.
Examples of equipment brought for the practice includes;
x2 Water Coolers for the Waiting Areas
