Chronic Diseases

Our Chronic Disease Clinics can be split into four categories;

  • Chronic Heart Disease (CHD)

  • Hypertension (Blood Pressure, BP)

  • Diabetes Clinic

  • Respiratory Clinics (COPD) and Asthma

All of these categories of Chronic Disease are run by individual teams, comprised of  specialist nurses; All of our Chronic Disease Clinics are supported by a skilled team of Healthcare Assistants

Chronic Heart Disease (CHD)

This clinic is for patients suffering from heart problems. If you have been diagnosed with a heart problem, you will be asked to attend this clinic from time to time to help with the management of your condition.

Throughout Vida Healthcare we have a select group of nurses who are able to provide you with travel vaccinations and childhood immunisations.

Vida Healthcare offers travel clinics at all of our practices. Before travelling abroad, we advise patients to check whether they need vaccinations, malaria tablets or general travel health advice and to make an appointment with our specialist travel team at least 8 weeks prior to travel

Our clinics offer a range of vaccinations, some of which there is a charge for. (eg. Yellow Fever).

Flu Vaccinations

At certain times of the year, we offer flu clinics to help protect vulnerable people. The seasonal flu vaccine is offered free of charge to at-risk groups to protect against flu and help prevent consequent illnesses.

Our clinics focus on various aspects of women’s health, such as family planning services, cervical smears, menopause and HRT.

Physiotherapy

There are highly trained physiotherapists that can help with a wide range of conditions and your doctor may refer you to this clinic if you have a problem which would benefit from physiotherapy. The physiotherapists work at the Gayton Road Health centre every day and are available at the Carole Brown Health Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays, by appointment and GP referral only.

West Norfolk Hearing Support Service Clinic

These are walk in clinics, no appointment needed! Just let reception know you are here for the clinic.

Run by the West Norfolk Deaf Association, the West Norfolk hearing support service clinic can deal with hearing aid problems such as retubing, cleaning, flat batteries, repairs and can also supply equipment and information.

These clinics are held at both the Gayton Road Health Centre, and the Carole Brown Health Centre in Dersingham. 

They appear at Gayton Road the first Monday of every month (9.30am - 11.30am, excluding Bank Holiday Mondays)  and at Carole Brown on the second and third Mondays (2.00pm - 4.00pm)
