SystemOnline (Online Services)

You may have noticed that the SystemOnline (Online Services) platform has changed recently (see below). Please be reassured that this is simply cosmetic and the system is fully functioning and works exactly the same as it did prior to the changes.

Statement Regarding Patient Partner at Gayton Road and Carole Brown Health Centre

Please note that our Automated Appointment Line (Patient Partner) was disconnected during the Cyber Attack back in May. This service is still disconnected and as such you will be unable to book appointments through this method.

This will still appear as an option when calling the practice however this will not connect you.

Alternative ways to book are as follows;

By Telephone OR  Online through System One Online Services (please speak to a receptionist about registering for Online Services)

"Pharmacy 2U"

We are aware that many patients have received material through the post from 'Pharmacy 2U' inviting them to switch to their online prescription service and use the other services offered on their website, instead of obtaining their prescription medication from their local pharmacist. Please be aware that your information has not been provided by the practice, nor has the content of the material been approved by the practice. Concerns relating to this service should be raised with the General Pharmaceutical Council

Official Vida Healthcare Statement regarding the National Cyber Attack on Friday 12th May 2017

During the past few days, from media coverage, you will have been made aware of a global cyber-attack that has affected some NHS organisations.

Vida would like to reassure all patients that patient information is safe.

We have, as a precaution, temporarily turned off Patient Partner, which means that currently telephone appointment booking is not available.

This morning all other systems across Vida sites are functioning fully and staff are continuing  to work as normal.

Your Information and Enhanced Data Sharing

You may be aware of some media reporting of increasing concerns about access to patient records under an enhanced data sharing model available within TPP SystmOne. Under the enhanced data sharing model (EDSM) clinicians, and services, involved in your care, can, with your consent access your medical record if they use the same SystmOne clinical system. Rights to access your information are based on their working role and having a valid smart card. Access is auditable.

If you have a specific information or communication support needs, please let us know. We will do our best to meet these needs.

Friends and Family Tests

Don't forget to fill out our Friends and Family test survey! This survey will allow us to improve our different practices and you can find it on the different practice's pages.

Can't attend your Appointment?

Please let the surgery know If you cannot attend your appointment. Un-used appointments waste on average 1 ½ Dr surgeries a day.

Summary Care Record

The Central NHS Computer System is called the Summary Care Record (SCR). It is an electronic record which contains core information about the medicines you take, allergies you suffer from and any bad reactions to medicines you have had. Storing information in one place makes it easier for healthcare staff to treat you in an emergency, or when your GP practice is closed. This information could make a difference to how a doctor decides to care for you, for example which medicines they choose to prescribe for you.

For more information on the Summary Care Record, please click the link below.

You also have the choice to opt out of the SCR. If you would like to opt out then please complete the form on the link below and hand in at your surgery.
